In control of LEDs

Among the latest developments from Rako Controls on show at ISE are LED control, featuring constant current and 4-channel RGBW constant voltage LED drivers. Also on display is a new range of wireless 16-scene dimmers: the company says the new generation dimmers with more scenes are now even easier to install with their wall mounting brackets, single-ended wiring and the simplified set-up button that eradicates the need to use a magnet.

Rako has also updated its iPhone, iPad and Android apps with a totally revised user interface, LED colour wheel, personalised room, and scene and channel naming with images. For those users with timeclock units, timed events can now be set from within the app.

A new blind and curtain range is featured: from roller blinds to Roman blinds, Rako says that it can now supply, install and control, providing users with features including precise alignment, positioned control, software configurable end-stop, programmable speed control and soft start/finish.

According to Rako, mood lighting systems offer the user the ability to recall a scene, or mood of lighting, at the touch of a single button despite controlling multiple circuits and lamp types. Circuits are split to define zones and highlight room features and are programmed to suit the different uses of a space. Rako provides lighting controls for both wired and wireless solutions, new and retrofit applications.

With controls for all lighting types, Rako says that it concentrates on the challenges of dimming LEDs, offering products for direct control of lamps as well as trailing edge, 0-10V and DALI options for dimmable drivers. The company offers LED lamp testing in its lab facilities, allowing installers and specifiers to be certain of dimming performance before installation.
