On show on the Vissonic stand is the company’s VIS-WDC-T/VIS-WDD-T 5G WiFi Wireless Digital Discussion Chairman/Delegate Unit. Software settings enable the unit to be configured as a chairman unit or a delegate unit. Said to be capable of being set up in a few minutes, the units feature both inbuilt mains power and a detachable battery pack that can provide up to 20 hours of continuous usage.
The system uses a touch interface via an OLED display rather than physical buttons. An internal loudspeaker is provided, as is support for pluggable microphones. A line-in interface allows the connection of cell phones, laptops and so on to be connected.
Digital signal transmission and processing are designed to ensure freedom from RF interference. A timer on the unit’s display can be used to control the time any delegate can speak, either by providing a reminder or closing off the microphone automatically.
