BrightSign players appear in every vertical

Found around the world, BrightSign powered digital signage can be seen in every vertical market. The American company’s products boast an operating system purpose-built for digital signage.

The BrightSign stand, located in the centre of Hall 8, features zoned areas highlighting each of its product ranges. Launching at ISE, the company’s new Series 4 line of digital signage media players are integral to the defined sections. Four models in the BrightSign Series 4 range are newly designed to support Dolby Vision and HDR10+, while the XT line supports PoE+ and HDMI to deliver live TV to end-points, either via an HDMI cable or streaming over a network. The new players continue to use the patented industrial design of the Series 3 players.

BrightSign is also showcasing three of its BrightSign Built-In DSM (digital signage module) integrated solutions. These include the iDisplay by Outform, as well as a range of displays from AVNU and Industrial Image.

The Bright Wall zone features three sections of videowall comprising of various panel sizes and pattern configurations. Seventeen panels are in use, all run by their own player to demonstrate that as many screens as required can be used without loss of performance and resolution.

The menu and ordering platform is in another zone on BrightSign’s stand. This area presents a novel option for food ordering, ideal for fast food restaurants but one that can be used in a variety of other applications. The user can select their menu choice, pay and print their order ticket. The order is automatically sent to the POS display behind the counter. Jeff Hastings, CEO, BrightSign said: “It’s gone past the point of digital signage and is a fully interactive and flexible option. We are now able to integrate with other platforms and options and of course can connect with lighting, audio and pretty much anything else you can think of!”

Another zone on the stand has been completely customer lead. Hastings explains: “Our customers were demanding small form factor displays without having players on the desktop or clogging up work areas.” BrightSign worked with iDisplay to create a 10.1in tablet. Hastings continues: “Designed as an interactive commercial display that uses capacitive touch, built in wifi and LAN, the iDisplay tablet also has integrated features that work in either landscape or portrait format. The HTML5 rendering engine supports full HD and is compatible with all BrightSign software, services and supported CMS platforms.”

The final zone on the stand is the meeting and conference room booking tablet. A commercial solution, the Aura room booking system allows the user to schedule and reserve meetings from the panels at anytime, track daily schedules and maximise room resources.
