Three new scalers/converters from Gefen are said to help bridge the gap between old analogue and new high-definition systems. All three support legacy VGA devices, allowing them to send content to digital displays, projectors and other downstream equipment.
The HDMI & VGA to 3GSDI Scaler/Converter supports a VGA, HDMI or DVI (with adapter) input; the VGA to DVI Scaler/Converter is said to perform a simple and effective conversion of analogue video to a digital output, scaling resolutions up to 1920 x 1200; and the VGA & Audio to HDMI Scaler/Converter converts analogue video and audio to the HDMI format for linking older equipment to newer displays and projectors.
The Gefen Syner-G software suite, meanwhile, provides automatic input detection, advanced EDID management and a simple path for firmware upgrades.
