ISE 2014: Bose highlights new Dante option card

At ISE 2014 Bose highlighted three new cards that bring Dante networking interoperability to Bose Professional Systems’ latest ControlSpace engineered sound processors and PowerMatch configurable professional power amplifiers. Each user-installable Dante option card provides 48 kHz/24-bit digital audio network connectivity over standard IP networks for connecting with Bose and other manufacturers’ Dante-enabled products.

Bose Dante cards feature configurable secondary ports for modes supporting daisy-chaining or no-glitch audio redundancy. Built on existing networking protocols and standards, Dante is a plug-and-play networking solution which delivers ultra-low latency and tightly synchronised media, while simplifying installation and configuration of digital media networks.

The new Bose ControlSpace Designer version 4.0 software release enables configuration of PowerMatch and ControlSpace products using the new Dante option cards. ControlSpace Designer software enables an operator to design, configure, control and monitor all Bose networked system electronics using a single application.

The new 8×8 Dante card option for the PowerMatch power amplifiers provides digital input to the amplifier of up to eight audio channels from a Dante network. For monitoring purposes, up to eight foldback channels can be transmitted back onto the Dante network from a PowerMatch amplifier.
