InfoComm events: because ISE is also about networking

InfoComm International has a pair of networking events planned for today, and is holding a series of get-togethers for attendees of its various education sessions throughout the week of Integrated Systems Europe.

Today ISE holds the opportunity for the industry’s young AV professionals to gather in the RAI’s Emerald Room from 11:00 to 13:00. Food and drinks will be available. Organisers will be emphasising the importance of mentorship for aspiring AV professionals entering the industry. Attendees will learn about InfoComm’s new Young AV Professionals Council and the work done by the International Communications Industries Foundation (infocomm.org/ICIF) to support students in AV-related academics, internships and more.

Later today, also in the RAI Emerald Room, the Women of InfoComm Network (WIN) will formally kick off its 2017 activities at a networking reception and council meeting from 17:00 to 19:00. The free event will begin with speed networking, followed by cocktails and canapes. During the session, WIN members and other interested parties will plan similar gatherings for technology events throughout the coming year, and formally launch new Career Empowerment Alliances for 2017. The Empowerment Alliances are small groups of women that meet virtually each month. In these groups, WIN members discuss topics related to career advancement, work-life balance, conflict resolution and more. Each group has a facilitator who organises meetings and curates relevant materials.

Throughout the week, InfoComm is hosting special receptions for holders of its All Access Pass to InfoComm training and education at ISE. The remaining events are scheduled for today and Thursday at 17:00 in the Elicium Mezzanine of the RAI, outside Room D204. Beer, wine and soda will be available and pass holders will be able to continue session discussions, meet faculty members and network in a casual setting.

Don’t leave Amsterdam without making new connections that will surely boost your business and professional prospects in 2017.
