NSG Group to debut anti-reflective glass for signage at ISE

A new anti-reflective glass product, Pilkington OptiView Protect, will make its debut at ISE 2015. Pilkington OptiView Protect is a laminated glass with pyrolytic anti-reflective coatings, providing the safety and security benefits of laminated glass.

This anti-reflective product offers benefits for outdoor digital signage, including high light transmission, low reflection, a neutral colour, UV blocking, and large stock size.

The NSG Group will also showcase a wide range of robust, pyrolytic, toughenable coated glass products that are aimed at digital signage and touchscreen applications.
NSG TEC products are pitched at touchscreen cover lites where a TCO (transparent conductive) coating is required. NSG TEC glass is very durable and robust, the company using fluorine-doped tin oxide as the TCO, thus offering a value alternative to ITO (indium-tin oxide).

The product line offers sheet resistances ranging from 5 to 250ohm/sqm. These glasses are available in a variety of substrates and thicknesses and are colour neutral, minimising reflected colour and will also not change colour over time.

The durable pyrolitic surface is scratch and abrasion resistant and can be easily handled, cut, insulated, laminated, heat-strengthened and toughened. NSG TEC can also be heat processed and bent after production, and can be tuned to specific customer requirements.

The company’s new digital display mirror products, Pilkington MirroView and Pilkington MirroView 50/50, will also be on show. Coated with a highly reflective mirror coating, these products are aimed at concealing digital displays and video screens when they are turned off. When the display is turned on, the glass allows the display to show through.
