AGORA to offer a “widened scope” at ISE 2020

AGORA, presented by MONDO | STADIA, is broadening its reach at ISE 2020 as it returns for the show’s final visit to Amsterdam.

As well as reporting on the technology strategies of the world’s leading stadia for delivering the ultimate matchday experience, this year’s event will also consider the use of stadia for hosting other types of live event, including concerts and esports.

Taking place in Room E102 of the RAI from 9:30-18:30 on Thursday, AGORA will offer a wide range of panel discussions, case studies and expert keynote speakers to explore the benefits of the latest technology, trends and techniques – analysing the impact it has and will have at modern stadiums and sporting venues around the globe.

From enhancing the fan experience and modernising stadium infrastructure, through to the planning of ceremonies and events, AGORA aims to provide valuable insight that will help to increase knowledge and performance for stadium and sporting venue projects in the future.

AGORA 2020 will welcome Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Steen, who will share Allianz Arena’s journey into the digital age as the stadium prepares for the next generation of fans.

Two more of the world’s best stadiums will also feature, with panels discussing the innovative technology used at the groundbreaking Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Amsterdam’s very own Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Looking to the future, AGORA will take a closer look at the rise of stadiums as multipurpose venues; what goes into organising an event or concert – and how have existing venues began to adapt to expand opportunities and revenue streams beyond sport?

The exciting, ever-evolving world of e-sports is also on the agenda, with AGORA hosting a panel on the value of the new industry for clubs and venues. Will growth continue and just how far will it go in terms of professional sports? Representatives from technology manufacturers, clubs, federations and venues will analyse why esports has taken off so successfully and what the future holds.

The event will also offer sporting venue managers and event organisers the chance to network with technology innovators and industry experts.
