4K video surveillance gets 32-channel NVR

Due to customer demand for 4K network video recording (NVR), smart home video surveillance firm LILIN has announced the new NVR 5 Series, being demonstrated here at ISE in the product’s global debut.

Launched in January, the NVR 5 Series provides 32 channels of 4K resolution video surveillance, said group vice president at LILIN, Jason Hill. “It seems the end-user is keen on 4K; if they have a 4K TV, they want 4K security cameras, and not one of them, but all.

Customer projects are for a lot more 4K cameras than we realised; we thought projects would be limited to a few initially. So we can provide 32 camera channels in 4K. It’s a very powerful solution.”

With IP drivers for all leading home automation platforms, the NVR 5Series can also be viewed and controlled with mobile app, LILINViewer.

The powerful processor enables all models to offer 960fps recording across all channels with a total throughput of 300Mbps.

The 19in 2U design is finished in high-gloss black and is ideal for any rack mount installation.

LILIN is demonstrating the NVR 5 Series on its stand here in Amsterdam with 4K video running on 32 channels simultaneously.
