Claimed to be the world’s first full 4K 3-chip DLP LED projector, the Insight 4K LED from Digital Projection is making its European debut at ISE 2015. It is said to merge the detail and clarity of full 4K resolution with the colour space and black levels of LED illumination. Measuring 32.5cm x 70cm x 93.5cm, the company believes that the projector is 40% of the size and weight of existing 4K projector solutions.
Designed for simulation, visualisation, entertainment and other large-screen applications. Delivering 2,000 lumens of brightness, Digital Projection says that the Insight 4K LED boasts a typical 60,000+ hours of stable solid-state illumination with the use of LEDs as a light source, providing a virtually maintenance-free projector that never requires a lamp replacement.
The unit has full 4K 3D capability and utilises Display Port 1.2 to deliver up to 60fps 4K sequential input via single cable, or Dual Pipe input capability with two Display Port 1.2 cables. The addition of ColorMax technology is said to allow for accurate colour replication across a blended area, making this a good solution for demanding installations in environments with controlled lighting.
