SIM2 Multimedia: 20th anniversary celebrated in style

To celebrate 20 years in business, SIM2 Multimedia has released its 20th Anniversary Line of competitively priced SIM2 projectors. Lumis 20th is a three-chip DLP offering “a true commercial cinema experience at home” for use with mid/large screen sizes (up to 4m wide); Nero 20th is for medium/large home theatres, boasting wide colour gamut, a 30,000:1 contrast ratio, and SIM2’s PureLED technology; and Cube 20th, with its luxurious glass cabinet, which offers up to 2,300 ANSI lumens on-screen, and immersive 3D.

The flagship Grand Cinema Lumis 20th projector has been “specifically designed to offer exceptional performance, ease-of-use and room-friendly aesthetics”. It uses SIM2’s Alphapath light engine, partnered with three 0.95in 1080p DarkChip4 DLP chipsets from Texas Instruments, to give it a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and a brightness level of 3,000 ANSI lumens, thanks to its new 280W lamp.

The Lumis 20th includes PureMovie, PureAction and PureAction 3D user modes and SIM2’s advanced Live Colors Calibration 2 software.

“SIM2’s philosophy is and has always been a commitment to complete customer satisfaction, by meeting customer requirements for solutions, quality, and performance through continuous product improvement. With the 20th series, we are delighted to be able to offer clients the opportunity to become part of SIM2’s legacy of innovation at a lower budget,” said company president Maurizio Cini.
