Where are you originally from, and where do you reside?
I was born and raised in France but from Spanish origin, having lived 15 years in the APAC region. I am now based in Bordeaux south of France.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Any favourite sports or hobbies?
I enjoy staying active and going on road trips with my family. We live near the ocean so all water sports are usually our thing, windsurfing or surfing – plus my husband is from the French Alps so skiing and snowboarding are also a yearly compulsory trip for us. More personally I enjoy martial arts and specifically Thai boxing a lot!
How did you get into the AV industry, and what was your journey to your current role?
I started working with AV integrators and consultants when I was still based in Asia, and kept developing these relations when I moved to Europe in 2022. I come from the broadcast industry where I have been working in different sales roles in my career. I was recruited at Ross to build a new dedicated team to empower and advise our corporate/enterprise customers on our technology and video production solutions from efficient and easy to use yet powerful meeting tools, to creating a dedicated internal video studio or flex event spaces to use for townhalls, internal communication, product launches or recreative internal corporate events.
What are your thoughts on the future of the industry? How is your company addressing potential challenges?
I am incredibly excited and optimistic about where the pro AV industry is heading especially in the corporate space – where integration between AV and IT will be a key factor. It is no longer just about technology but also about user behaviour, network security and enterprise operations. These organisations who invest in smart, scalable and flexible systems will be the ones who will attract the best talents. Fresh perspectives and non-traditional career paths are going to be essential to tackle the next wave of challenges – from AI to sustainability to global hybrid collaboration.
For those of us who are curious, adaptable and unafraid to lead from the front it is a very exciting time!
Any exciting news you’d like to share – upcoming projects, tech developments, or plans for 2025 and beyond?
I will not spoil all the surprises… we have so many exciting ideas being discussed internally. Ross has always been at the forefront of successful acquisitions and internal new developments always keeping in mind how to add value to our existing portfolio and team. Without disclosing any highly kept secrets, I am very excited about our studio version of the Spidercam following the acquisition of EagleEye earlier this year: a studio grade version of the camera for permanent installations and corporate environments! I am also very excited on Xpression-Tessera graphics and XR/LED setups to help create immersive spaces and interactive presentations or branded studio environments.
Not to mention our Hyperconverged latest platform the Carbonite Hypermax: a flexible and powerful platform with a robust hardware and dynamic software licensing! Finally, our QUORUM ONE helps clients with an easy to use platform for meeting production!
What excites you most about working in AV every day?
I enjoy talking to customers very much and helping them make their vision real by asking questions and supporting them in their thought process. The fact that our company has all the connectivity flavors of the market is a great tool as we are not restricted by any type of limitation in that sense. All projects and requirements are different, which makes every discussion and every day different, no time to get bored!
What advice would you give to someone looking to build a successful career in pro AV?
To be curious! Ask questions! Keep learning! AV is a constantly growing and evolving industry, so the people who grow with it are the ones who succeed. Also I am a big fan of building relationships – your reputation often means more than your resume and being genuinely connected to others is a great way to build your network.
If you had to predict one major shift in the AV industry over the next decade, what would it be?
What a challenging question to answer… I wish I had a crystal ball to see what the future holds! Talking from my corporate A/V window: we are already selling cloud-based systems and solutions that are highly flexible and support seamless collaboration no matter where the contributors are. We are also currently talking about enterprise-wide ecosystems with the rise of IT departments taking ownership of the A/V strategy to build consistency across several sites worldwide… a full convergence of IT and A/V not only in infrastructure but in skill sets, workflows and team structures.
I think we are going to see more AI driven meeting technology with smart cameras, voice tracking, real-time language translation… these tools will become expectations. I also think that in the corporate world having real immersive experiences with a combination of AI, AR/VR and spatial audio is going to make a difference to clients and audiences who will no longer be satisfied with passive content. The direction will be shaped by listening to our customers and I have no doubt Ross will be an innovator and leader in that field.
What’s the most valuable leadership lesson you’ve learned during your career in AV?
I think the most valuable leadership lesson I have learned throughout my career is that credibility is built through consistency: both on delivering results and in how you treat people. At the beginning of my career I thought leadership meant always having answers, and being the loudest in the room. But over the years I have realised that the most effective leaders are the ones who listen first, stay calm under pressure and advocate for both their team and their clients with equal conviction.
