AVIXA partners Caretta Research for new pro AV market outlook

As InfoComm 2026 opens in Las Vegas, analysts from both organisations will preview findings from the new Pro AV Industry Outlook – a biannual report replacing the previous IOTA report and available free to AVIXA Gold members

AVIXA has partnered with technology research firm Caretta Research to produce a new biannual pro AV market forecast, with an early preview set for InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas this week. Analysts from both organisations will present a session titled “Pro AV Outlook 2026: Data & Dialogue” as part of the AVIXA Xchange LIVE programme, covering the forces reshaping pro AV value – including the shift from hardware to AI automation, software and cloud.

The new Pro AV Industry Outlook (PAVIO) replaces AVIXA’s previous Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA) report and will be published twice a year. It will be made available free of charge to AVIXA Gold member companies, who will also have exclusive access to an accompanying online dashboard.

The outlook is designed to cover a broad range of technologies and provide data to help companies benchmark performance, identify growth areas and track market trends. It is also intended to support merger and acquisition decisions and inform outside investment into the pro AV industry.

Dan Goldstein, chief product officer at AVIXA, said: “Our new partnership with Caretta Research reflects our desire not just to maintain that reputation but to enhance the value we offer to stakeholders by taking an end-to-end view of the complete AV industry value chain, from hardware manufacturers and software vendors all the way through to use cases across the full spectrum of vertical markets.”

Robert Ambrose, co-founder and CEO at Caretta Research, added: “This partnership represents a powerful new direction for the pro AV industry. We’re moving beyond the spreadsheet to provide data and insights that drive real business strategy. By taking a demand-side, customer-up view, we focus on specific industry verticals and what buyers actually need, rather than just listing technology categories.”

The first full Pro AV Industry Outlook is due for publication in Q2 2027, with initial findings to be released at ISE 2027 in Barcelona before the complete report is unveiled at InfoComm 2027 in Orlando.
