Artificial intelligence ran through keynote presentations, education sessions and show floor activations at InfoComm 2026, which closed in Las Vegas on June 19 having drawn 28,132 verified attendees from 94 countries.

Microsoft and Cisco delivered the show’s two keynotes. Ilya Bukshteyn, corporate vice president for Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings and Devices, opened the show on Wednesday by outlining new voice agents for Microsoft Teams Phone and additional Teams Rooms capabilities.

Bukshteyn, corporate vice president for Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings and Devices, said: “These tools are about helping organisations streamline routine tasks and improve hybrid collaboration so employees can focus on higher-value work.”

Espen Løberg, vice president and general manager of collaboration devices at Cisco, followed on Thursday with the company’s “Connected Intelligence” strategy, centred on its Director Agent and a concept it calls “Distance Zero” for hybrid meetings across platforms including Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom.

Løberg, vice president and general manager of collaboration devices at Cisco, added: “Connected Intelligence is about AI-powered collaboration technologies connecting people, places and purpose.”

AI also featured across four show floor activations: Smart Workplace, powered by FORTÉ; The Pitch, powered by Diversified; Retail Experience, run in collaboration with Bluesound Professional, BrightSign, Poppulo and Samsung; and AVIXA TV, which turned part of the show floor into a working broadcast studio.

Total registrants for the show reached 35,707, with end users accounting for 37 percent of verified attendees. International attendance made up 20 percent of the total.

Jenn Heinold, senior vice president of expositions, Americas, at AVIXA, the show’s producer, said: “This year’s InfoComm was the most interactive and engaging event we’ve ever produced. From keynotes with live demos and hands-on learning to immersive activations like Smart Workplace, The Pitch, Retail Experience and AVIXA TV, attendees weren’t just hearing about the future of AV, IT, broadcast and AI. They experienced it firsthand.”

The education programme featured more than 300 sessions, including a new AI Accelerator track alongside Vision Stage and Spotlight Stage presentations. InfoComm 2026 also introduced its first Media Day, with verified media attendance growing by 35 percent.

On certification, 129 attendees earned their Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) qualification at the show, including 24 CTS-D and 13 CTS-I awards, taking the total number of CTS holders above 15,800. A further 18 attendees earned Audiovisual Network Professional (ANP) certification, bringing that total to 389.

The show also launched RESIDE, a new event focused on residential integration, developed by AVIXA in partnership with HTSA and ProSource. RESIDE will debut alongside Lightapalooza at InfoComm 2027, which takes place in Orlando, Florida, from June 12-18.
