On July 4, 2024, Sphere celebrated the one-year anniversary of the first illumination of the Exosphere – the world’s largest LED screen – with a dazzling Exosphere show, in Las Vegas. The Sphere showcased its Fourth of July show at 9:30 p.m. and 11:40 p.m.
The Sphere Fourth of July Celebration, presented by Verizon, honoured America in a tribute to art, science, and wonder, and how that unites us all. The dynamic content was amplified with more than 500 drones that took the shape of fireworks, stars, and more, to complement the art appearing on the Exosphere.
The show, which was created and developed by Sphere Studios – the immersive content studio dedicated to creating multi-sensory live entertainment experiences exclusively for Sphere – included a celebration of Sphere and its impact on the Las Vegas skyline, creative installations focused on the Stars & Stripes, a nod to the history of Nevada, and a look back at the past “year of Sphere”.
The Sphere also launched its new “XO Audio” and “XO Stream” technology during the show. “XO Audio” synched custom audio to content on the Exosphere that could be heard both onsite at the Sphere and on the Sphere’s new 24-hour livestream, “XO Stream,” available for anyone to watch on thesphere.com, according to Sphere Entertainment.
