Following a successful inaugural event in March, the second AVIXA Diversity council event in the UK is being held on May 15th at Excel London during UC Expo.
This time the focus is on recruitment and how we can create a more diverse and inclusive workforce in the AV industry through different recruitment strategies and through marketing the industry.
This session will consider solutions to facilitate the development of increased diversity and inclusion in the AV/IT industry, with case studies from AVMI and Shure and a presentation on graduate recruitment, followed by an in-depth panel discussion to give attendees practical suggestions to take away and make a change.
In response to the previous events success, the time allowed for the panel discussion has been extended to facilitate increased audience participation.
The session will take place in the Video & Collaboration Theatre, beginning at 15:40. It will be followed by networking with pizza and beer during which there will be competitions with prizes from headline sponsor Shure.
