Yamaha Dugan-MY16 in Euro debut at PL+S

The new interface card from Yamaha Pro Audio is targeted at sound reinforcement applications for corporate AV, houses of worship and more professional uses.

Frankfurt’s Prolight + Sound provides the venue for the European debut of Yamaha’s Dugan-MY16 interface card: a multipurpose automated microphone mixing solution for pro sound reinforcement applications.
Developed in partnership with Dan Dugan Sound Design, the card is fully compatible with all of Yamaha’s digital mixing consoles and processors, including the new CL series consoles.
The Dugan-MY16 brings improved control to users of Yamaha digital mixers, providing up to 16 channels of automatic mic mixing per card at 48kHz, or eight channels of automated mixing at 96kHz.
Patched into input channels using the console’s set up screen, channels can be partitioned into as many as three independent auto mixers, and an internal web server provides a full virtual remote control panel over a local network.
Multiple Dugan-MY16 cards can be linked for use in larger systems and can also link with all other DSP-based Dugan auto mixer products.
“Dan Dugan Sound Design products are highly respected within our industry and the Dugan-MY16 card was designed in response to an overwhelming demand from our customers,” says Nick Cook, European marketing director at Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems.
“Many of my customers use Yamaha mixers,” adds Dugan. “They have been asking me for an MY-card version of my automatic mixing controller for years and I’m very pleased to satisfy that need.”
