A Wharfedale Pro WLA-1A system has been installed at the National Maritime Museum, in Greenwich, London, as part of a major audio upgrade designed to deliver uniform sound coverage across its new event space. The project was carried out in collaboration with Stage Concepts, a UK-based pro AV and staging specialist.
The final installation includes 14 WLA-112A/WLA-115A loudspeakers, 2 WLA-121SUBA subwoofers, and 8 WLA-1 Common Fly Frames, configured to optimise coverage, clarity, and fidelity for both speech and music.
The system is now being used for corporate functions, public events, and other activities across the museum’s historic grounds.
Brett Newton, product specialist at Stage Concepts, said: “The WLA-1A system from Wharfedale Pro is an exceptional choice for this type of installation, delivering uniform coverage and outstanding clarity. Spoken word, vocals, and music all come through with impressive definition.”
Chris Kruger, senior audio-visual technician at the National Maritime Museum, added: “The sound system is in and sounds great. There’s a big improvement in the sound. The directors are happy here.”
