Unicol Engineering has delivered specialist mounting systems for the British Airways Global Learning Academy (GLA) at Heathrow Airport, in a project completed in partnership with systems integrator SPC Group.
The deployment includes a bespoke totem from Unicol’s Edgeline kiosk and totem range, housing an 86in portrait-mounted display for aircraft door training, alongside stands from Unicol’s Parabella range supporting Clevertouch interactive displays throughout the facility.
The GLA is an aviation training centre serving pilots, cabin crew, engineers, and ground staff, with a 16-bay simulator hall, full-size cabin mock-ups, and more than 75 classrooms. Training runs around the clock to support both initial and recurrent programmes.
The aircraft door training totem presents CleverLive content displaying different aircraft door configurations. The Clevertouch screens elsewhere in the facility are used for scenario walkthroughs, safety animations, and door simulations.
