BMB Electronics BV has announced the launch of the new 6.5in REVOLVE Series of TruAudio Speakers. The new assortment of 6.5in models complements the existing line of 8in models and will be shown for the first time at CEDIA UK Expo, writes David Davies.
According to BMB Electronics, the REV6-LCR model line-up offers a solution to fit any budget, room or system requirement. Each unit can be utilised as the front left, centre or right speaker, and can be rotated to point towards the listening area.
REV6-LCR.1 boasts a 6.5in carbon fiber woofer, 2in dual carbon fibre mid-ranges and a 3/4in titanium swivel tweeter, with power handling of 150W and frequency response of 37-22 kHz. REV6-LCR.2 also uses a 6.5in carbon fibre woofer and a 3/4in titanium swivel tweeter (no mid-ranges), while power handling is 125W and frequency response is 39-20 kHz. REV6-LCR.3 is a budget-conscious model that incorporates a 6.5in polypropylene woofer and 3/4in silk dome swivel tweeter. Power handling is 100W and the frequency response is 40-20 kHz.
Completing the new line-up of models – all of which have a nominal 8 ohms impedance – is the REV6- SUR.1 in-ceiling bi-pole surround speaker. The model incorporates a 6.5in woven carbon woofer and an innovative tweeter bridge using dual pivoting 3/4in titanium tweeters that are said to allow the user even more flexibility in placement. Power handling is 150W and frequency response is 39-20 kHz.
