Tripleplay launches support for BrightSign media players

Digital signage, IPTV and video streaming solutions provider Tripleplay is to support BrightSign media players within its next software release, Caveman 1.0.

Tripleplay will be supporting the following BrightSign models:
• LS423 – 1080p, HEVC
• XD233, XD1033 – 4K video, HEVC
• XT243, XT1143 – 4K video and graphics, HEVC

Tripleplay CTO Dr Peter Martin commented: “Tripleplay has grown and strengthened because of our ability to integrate quickly, and we are delighted to add another device to our range of signage clients, bringing support for the latest HEVC and UHD standards as well as full 4K graphics to our platform. BrightSign has developed some incredibly powerful devices and with the release of its XT range we really saw an opportunity to enhance our own offering too.

“Our next software release, Caveman 1.0, gave us a great opportunity to satisfy our own end users and to open up a new avenue for BrightSign clients deciding which CMS they wanted to move forward with. This is a very positive and mutually beneficial partnership for both Tripleplay and BrightSign; and we are incredibly excited by it.”

Ann Holland, BrightSign’s vice president, marketing, added: “We are very excited to support the integration of the Tripleplay CMS. Tripleplay’s solution excels in the marriage of digital signage, IPTV, and video streaming, which is becoming a significant trend in the industry. This integration is an excellent example of BrightSign Series 3 being the platform at the vanguard of this trend.”

Initially only available in the EMEA and APAC regions, Tripleplay support for BrightSign players will be included in all new deployments following the release of Caveman 1.0 in December 2017, while existing clients can follow their upgrade path to Caveman 1.0 and benefit from the same enhancement.

Tripleplay’s BrightSign integration can be seen at the Tripleplay User Group and Partner Conference taking place in London on 21 and 22 November.
