The Park Playground’s virtual reality (VR) solution has been integrated for the first time at a US location, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, thanks to a new partnership with Player One VR World, an immersive virtual reality destination. In addition, following Center Parcs’ adoption of The Park Playground’s virtual reality (VR) solution at Hochauserland in 2023, it will deploy the solution at an additional location in Germany, Park Allgäu.
Finally, it will also soon be integrated at two further European locations in Oudenaarde, Belgium, through a new partnership with Bowling Stones, a bowling destination owning multiple venues across Europe. All the new integrations will be available in the next few weeks.
Launching The Park Playground into the US, Player One VR World’s new venue featuring The Park VR System will open on 14th October in Hollywood. It will integrate a two-field 7x7m playing area to accommodate a range of The Park’s VR experiences, including its eSports inspired virtual battle arena, Nanoclash Focus. The company’s existing venue in Santa Monica is one of the largest VR destinations in California.
The VR System will be available at Centre Parcs Park Allgäu from 28th November with an 8x8m free-roam VR field and an additional dedicated area that will launch The Park Playground’s new series of VR minigames, Carnival Showdown.
This will be The Park’s first partner location to offer guests the experience as a separate attraction.
The ongoing partnership includes plans to integrate The Park VR System at several other Center Parcs villages in the near future.
On Thursday 24th October, Bowling Stones, will also unveil its new integration of The Park VR System in Belgium. The addition of two 7x7m playing fields to the facility in Oudenaarde will see Bowling Stones offer a new entertainment concept for its visitors thanks to the diverse range of VR experiences provided by The Park Playground.
Introduced in 2023, The Park VR System is designed to provide easier access to VR for entertainment operators. The company says its turnkey solution lets operators take advantage of The Park’s VR technical workflow and its library of immersive VR experiences as a way to enhance entertainment offering for up to 16 guests per hour.
Erwin Lochtmans, director operational support at Center Parcs said: “The Park VR System has allowed us to enrich the guest experience at Center Parcs Park Hochsauerland, offering entertainment options that can be different each time they visit. The Park’s VR offering is the perfect fit for Center Parcs’ family orientated, high-quality, year-round facilities and we’re thrilled to be able to offer this always-evolving entertainment option to even more of our guests at our Park Allgäu village.”
Peter Vindevogel, CEO at The Park Playground, commented: “The Park VR System enables our partners to meet the increased customer demand for immersive entertainment in the quickest, easiest and most cost-effective way possible. We’re honoured that brands like Center Parcs continue to trust The Park as its partner to deliver engaging and interactive experiences to its guests and we’re very excited about the growth of our new partnerships with Bowling Stones and Player One VR.”
He added: “This expansion into the US with a major brand like Player One VR is an exciting chapter for The Park and it’s testament to the growing demand for diversified immersive entertainment options around the world. Our focus and our commitment going forward will be to continue delivering our high-quality experiences through partnerships.”
The growth of The Park’s partnerships also continues in the UK with its newest franchise partner, David Bennison, will take over the management of The Park’s full library of free-roam immersive VR experiences at its flagship standalone Leeds venue in the UK.
The experiences on offer will include The Park’s newest releases such as Carnival Showdown and The Break-in, ensuring that the venue delivers a range of VR entertainment options that appeal to all ages and interests.
