Sony unveils latest installation projectors

Sony has announced a triple projector introduction as the company looks to bolster its installation offering. The new additions to the company's professional projector range are said to offer the highest levels of performance in their respective classes.

Sony has unveiled three new projector models to bolster its installation offering. The new VPL-CW275 (pictured), VPL-FH31, and VPL-FH36 are all said to offer the highest levels of performance in their respective classes. The latest projectors from Sony incorporate company innovations such as BrightEra 3LCD Inorganic Panel technology, energy efficient features, installation flexibility and a low total cost of ownership. These come together in contemporary, ‘blend-in’ designs, which allow the new models to fit easily into most corporate, education and other basic installation environments. What’s more, Sony says its picture technologies enable these projectors to deliver higher picture quality, substantially brighter and natural colour images, as well as usability across a variety of applications, whether in auditoriums, lecture theatres, large meeting rooms or conference rooms. “With the addition of these new projector models, we’re sending a strong signal to the installation market about Sony’s commitment to offering the best and brightest range of projectors, which meet the diverse needs and performance demands of professional users.” said Robert Meakin, business and education product manager, Sony Professional Solutions Europe. The new VPL-CW275 model extends Sony’s existing CW255 installation projector line-up. The VPL-CW275 is capable of light output levels of up to 5,100 lm (on high lamp mode), making it one of the brightest WXGA (1280×800) models in its class – which typically sees levels in the 4,000 lm range. Meanwhile Sony’s new VPL-FH31 and VPL-FH36 projectors are enhanced replacements for Sony’s existing VPL-FH30 and VPL-FH35 models. Based on Sony’s BrightEra 3LCD technology, these latest WUXGA projectors for professional use are well suited to universities, corporations, museums and medical (DICOM) applications, where for installation flexibility, trouble-free maintenance and stylish ‘blend-in’ designs are important. Designed to cope with high ceiling environments, VPL-FH36 and VPL-FH31 units are available in white colour. www.pro.sony.eu
