Rather more recently, the tower became the subject of a major architectural lighting installation incorporating nearly 200 SGM LED lighting fixtures.
To complement the striking white marble design of the Azadi Tower, project supplier TechnoPro Dubai, provided 56 Genio Mobile (with 8_ lens), 120 Palco 5 (8_ lens) and 16 Genio Mobile (25_ lens) fixtures for night-time illumination.
The entire system is controlled by an SGM Regia 2048 Live console. A Regia 2048 Pro desk is available for backup.
The lighting design for the Azadi Tower illumination was devised by TechnoPro’s Nabil Bourgeili, with Paolo Marcuzzi (who took the image included here) serving as lighting operator.
Bourgeili told II: “The Palco series from SGM is reliable and gives a high impact for architectural lighting. The energy-saving [characteristics] of the products also represent an important benefit.”
