Having moved into a new building after 34 years in its previous residence, Sugoh Nursery School in Himeji City, Japan, has acquired an Ashly pêma integrated processor and amplifier for its performance area.
The new equipment will be used as part of the technical infrastructure for student shows. Sugoh’s new set-up begins with two wired microphones, four wireless microphones and inputs for two auxiliary sources. The Ashly pêma 4125 provides microphone pre-amplification, matrix mixing, equalization, dynamics, and four amplifier channels at 125 Watts each. The loudspeaker spec includes a pair of One Systems 108IM loudspeakers and six Tannoy CMS 601 and CMS 501 in-ceiling loudspeakers.
For control, a simple Ashly RD-8C remote control provides eight faders with mutes and a master volume fader, enabling teachers to adjust mic volumes and input sources quickly and easily.
The installation was carried out by Tokyo-based A/V design and installation firm M&N, whose president Masaki Morimoto remarked: “The Ashly pêma is a cost-efficient solution that is very easy to work with for both the installer and the end user. Designing a system that was user-friendly was paramount, as the teachers cannot be expected to properly control a complicated interface.”
This was by no means the first time that M&N has equipped an education facility with Ashly equipment. “We installed Ashly systems in ten schools last year, and we already have thirteen similar requests for nursery schools in the coming year,” said Morimoto.
