UK integrator Saville has upgraded a number of eBay’s European offices – including the online auctioning titan’s UK headquarters in Richmond, Surrey – with LifeSize HD conferencing solutions.
Designed to increase the company’s VC capabilities and better connect its network of global offices, the system incorporates 55in NEC HD displays powered by full LifeSize Room 220 packages, with sound captured by Polycom microphones and control arriving from Crestron controllers.
Offices in Berlin, Paris, Zurich, Bern and Amsterdam also underwent installation of the system, which features embedded 8-way Continuous Presence multi-point bridge showing four visible sites, with transcoding and all-digital I/O. It’s said to offer a flexible, future proof solution that can facilitate bespoke training sessions and provide an easy-to-use method of communication. Additionally, the systems can provide remote access and operation of all main equipment items and control systems.
The recognised success of the new system and bespoke programming layout made possible by the configuration Saville carried out for the APC controllers, has resulted in planned implementation of the conferencing solutions in Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Ukraine, Israel and Turkey.
