San Jose indoor arena upgraded with JBL’s PD loudspeakers

Paying close attention to sightline issues, WHJW Inc. devised a main bowl system with eight clusters arranged in a circular formation around the principal scoreboard. The eight clusters each contain three JBL PD743 high-power mid-high loudspeakers, with another three clusters of three PD7164 mid-low frequency loudspeakers each. Four clusters of six JBL ASB6128 dual-18in subwoofers each provide extended low-frequency reinforcement.

The installation also included eight JBL AM6212 full-range loudspeakers, hung under the scoreboard, and a delay ring of 20 JBL PD5212 high-output two-way loudspeakers to cover the upper bowl. The system is powered by Crown CTs amplifiers.

Rick Kamlet, director of marketing, Commercial Sound at JBL Professional, told II: “Pro Media/Ultrasound’s installation of JBL PD Series loudspeakers at HP Pavilion is an example of world-class audio professionals utilising world-class audio technology to create a powerful and versatile system. We look forward to continuing our successful relationship with Pro Media/Ultrasound for years to come.”

Pro Media/Ultrasound also upgraded the ticket booth areas to feature JBL Control 30 loudspeakers.
