AudioVideoSystems Company has designed and installed a giant 61m long curved projection screen in the Presidential Centre of Boris Yeltsin in Ekaterinburg, Russia.
The Centre is a cultural and social institution that includes an education centre and library, event area and conference hall.
Project development started in 2011 and AudioVideoSystems started designing the multimedia elements of the project in 2012 in conjunction with Boris Yeltsin Presidential Centre representatives. They demonstrated the solution for a media screen using projectors of different manufacturers onsite.
In the Atrium the world’s largest stationary projection diorama has been installed utilising 30 cross-linked projectors producing an image on the curved 61.2m long and 9.7m high surface. Projection for the screen is made from six points by groups of five Panasonic projectors fitted on the second floor.
Video content is accompanied by an L-Acoustics sound system during events and Bose speakers broadcast background music and voice announcements on floors 1-3. Amplifiers are installed behind the screen along with six groups of L-Acoustics speakers evenly placed along the wall with 12 more speakers from the same manufacturer installed under the screen.
For the purposes of event organisers a mobile stage can be mounted. The stage consists of aluminium catwalks. The stage is equipped with concert sound, light and control systems from Yamaha, L-Acoustics, and Martin.
The switching system is based on professional equipment. All connecting points for sound and light equipment on the mobile stage can be completely dismantled and stored in special cases, thus preserving the aesthetics of the interior.
