Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) has begun shipping its T2-C+ and T3-V+ (pictured) universal system controllers.
The T3-V+ and T2-C+ each feature a dual RF board technology that supports both 433 MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4 GHz ZigBee for bidirectional communication with RTI-compatible processors and supported third-party electronics such as music servers, lighting, and web-based RSS feeds for weather updates.
The fourth generation of RTI’s T2 remote control platform, the T2-C+ features an OLED touch-screen, 35 hard buttons and a contemporary “industrial” design. Meanwhile, the T3-V+ is the third generation of the T3 system controller and is enhanced with an updated hard button configuration including five soft keys that allow for custom button-engraving options. The unit also features a 3.5-inch full VGA touch-screen, while integrated 802.11b/g wireless Ethernet and a built-in web browser allow the user to access web pages and IP-addressable devices such as security cameras.
Both of the new controllers are programmed through RTI’s Integration Designer software. The remotes can be used as standalone controllers or, when used with other RTI devices, serve as integral parts of an advanced control system.
Pete Baker, vice-president of sales & marketing for RTI, told IE Residential: “We are extremely proud of our new T2-C+ and T3-V+ controllers and the revolutionary features that they boast, such as dual RF board technology. These devices have been very well-received by the European dealer community, as have many other new announcements that RTI has recently made like the availability of our RK10 in-wall touchpanel controller, Virtual Panel control interface, and the upcoming release of the RTiPanel app. All of this is on the heels of the huge success that our T1-B controller has had in the European market. The T1-B has been an exciting product to launch in Europe because its design was inspired by feedback we received from our European dealers and distribution partners.”
