Robe and Avolites help to launch new Virgin Atlantic check-in at Heathrow T3

Specified fixtures included 24 Robe ColorWash and ColorSpot 2500E AT fixtures (to create some distinct washes in the roof and project the Virgin Atlantic logo), multiple Robe ColorSpot 700E ATs, more than 200 Elements Labs VersaTUBE LED tubes and 18 ETC Source Fours. All lighting fixtures were controlled from an Avolites Diamond 4 Elite console.

Other equipment utilised during the innovative production included a Catalyst digital media server, used to feed the VersaTUBES with special content. The Catalyst also supplied holding logos and background animation created by GLS and High Resolution Lighting for display on the three video walls – a 10mm Technorainbow centre screen and two 15mm Technorainbow side-strips, all supplied by GLS.

Rounding out the core set-up was a Fonix system, used to run three playback videos (Terminal 3, Spice Girls VTs and the Spice Girls naming the plane).
