Retrofit your way to savings with Osram’s new LED lamps

Osram demonstrates its continuing commitment to develop sustainable lighting solutions with the introduction of a range of new LED retrofit lamps.

As incandescent lamps become a thing of the past thanks to EU legislation, Osram is ensuring that you do not have to look far for the LED alternative. Featuring lifetimes of up to 25,000 hours, 80% less energy consumption than traditional lamps and excellent light quality, OSRAM’s new retrofit lamps offer a solution for any environment.

Parathom Classic A 60
This is a fully-dimmable lamp available in a Warm White colour temperature. It is a genuine replacement for a conventional 60W GLS lamp with a comparable luminous efficacy. It can be installed in any application where a conventional lamp is currently in use.

Parathom Par 16
Par 16 lamps are ideal for a number of applications from hotel and restaurant lighting to retail and façade illumination and spotlighting of interior and exterior features. Now it is possible to light up these applications using LEDs thanks to two new high-powered Parathom Par 16 lamps from Osram. From autumn 2010, an 8W version will be available to replace a 35W halogen lamp and a 10W version will be available to replace a 50W halogen lamp – both lamps enhance savings while providing optimum room illumination.

Parathom MR 16
Two new low voltage dimmable LED MR16 halogen replacement lamps have been introduced for a range of applications from directional lighting to downlighting and hospitality, shop, museum and residential illumination. There is a 20W equivalent that consumes only 5.5W and a 35W equivalent that consumes only 10W making this lamp a highly efficient alternative where halogen lamps are currently installed.

All the new lamps ensure that changing from GLS and halogen lamps to energy-saving high-power LED lamps is easy as they can be fitted into standard holders. In addition they benefit from having no mercury content, they come with a fast payback period and they comply with new EU legislation.

Launched at Light + Building 2010, these products will be available in the UK and Ireland from autumn 2010.
