Crossword’s new sanctuary system comprises five EV Phoenix PX2152 boxes in a flown left-centre-right configuration (including a central cluster of three), with two Phoenix PX2181 subs on the ground at stage left and right. Dynacord VL262s compact double-6in, two-way loudspeakers serve as delays, while the system is powered by EV’s CP4000S amplifiers.
Elsewhere, the courtyard has been equipped with two Sx500 loudspeakers and a pair of Sb122 subs, which are used in conjunction with a DC-One speaker processor and CPS 4.10 amplifiers. Another multipurpose space/overflow room has been fitted with a pair of Zx3 loudspeakers and a QRx118S sub, while the children’s wing has been reinforced with EVID 8.2 ceiling speakers.
“We’ve really put EV everywhere in this church, and the whole church looks and sounds better than ever,” said Chris Batchelor from CBC, which worked on the project with EV representatives Quantum Sales & Technology.
Meanwhile, EV loudspeakers product manager Josh Bartunek told II: “With dual ND2 compression drivers and a unique manifold design, Phoenix achieves extremely high output with legendary Electro-Voice sound quality.
