Philips debuts additions to Touch Series

Philips MMD will introduce its new Touch Series of interactive HD LCD screens at InfoComm this year. The range comprises ten models which each feature one of two types of technology.

Philips MMD will be launching no fewer than ten new LCD interactive touch displays at this year’s InfoComm as part of the Philips Touch Series.

Also on show at its stand will be Glasses-Free 3D, large LCD HD monitors, the world’s first integrated DIRECTV Residential Experience for hotels, LCD HDTVs for the healthcare and hospitality industry, LED and IPS panel solutions.

The new Philips Touch Series include 32-,42-, 46-, 55- and 65in screens, which according to the company can each withstand year-round 24/7 use. Embedded in the displays is one of two types of touch technology: Optical Sensing Dual-Touch (32-55in), which allows two simultaneous touch points at the same time; or Infrared Sensing Multi-Touch (32-65in), which grants multiple simultaneous touch points at the same time.

The Philips Touch Series is capable of 92in and larger video wall/ table touch configurations. All models are available with Intel’s Open Pluggable Specification (OPS), an industry standard interface that allows users to insert an internal PC into a Philips digital signage display.

The Philips Touch Series includes standards features found on every Philips Commercial Signage model including Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, RS232, and SmartPower to reduce power consumption by 50%.
