Panasonic and Atlona partner for meeting room solution

Panasonic and Atlona have collaborated on a new meeting room solution that combines Atlona’s HDVS-300 with Panasonic’s EF1 display series to make meetings for small to medium sized rooms easier to connect, set-up and use.

The HDVS-300 is claimed to be the industry’s first HDBaseT-equipped collaboration system providing AV switching, USB and HDMI extension, alongside PC-based conferencing system control. Combined with the slim design and high brightness of the EF1 display series, it makes for a powerful meeting room solution with only a single cable required to provide all the connections at the table.

The pack is available with either the 75in or 84in variants of the EF1 series alongside the Atlona collaboration system for soft codec conferencing system. The HDBaseT connection between sender and receiver gives greater installation flexibility, as there can be a longer distance between the display, camera and microphone and the connected computer.

Display remote controls are also a thing of the past, as the screen is turned on and off automatically when a signal is detected, giving a quick start to the meeting with no wasted time looking for the right button to turn on and switch to the right input.

Enrique Robledo, European marketing manager at Panasonic, commented: “We’re happy to be partnering with a global leader in AV connectivity to prove a complete standalone meeting room solution. It means users will be able to combine the high brightness and easy usability of the EF1 display range with the straightforward setup and flexible connectivity provided by Atlona’s HDVS-300 system. In short, it is a powerful solution to let business get in, get on and get working.”
