Opus Touch follows the 2008 launch of the WCU600 touchscreen and Integrated Partner Programme, reports David Davies. The new iPhone application enables the familiar Opus interface to be replicated on an iPhone or iPod touch in a move that is said to benefit installers by adding “real value and functionality with minimal additional cost” to new Opus systems.
Alternatively, iPhone/iPod touch control can be retrofitted to existing Opus installations for a straightforward upgrade.
For end users, the new application is said to provide intuitive remote control of the Opus system and all connected devices, including Apple TV, media servers, scene lighting, climate control and CCTV. In addition, Opus Touch dynamically follows the customised set-up of Opus touchscreens with real-time feedback on the user’s iPhone or iPod touch.
The new Opus iPhone App is available free of charge from the iTunes App Store and is compatible with all Opus WCU600 touchscreens in conjunction with the new WCU600 V3.1 PC software.
