Optoma has unveiled the WPS Pro, a 1080p wireless device, which allows multiple users to collaborate and share presentations, photos and documents wirelessly.
The WPS Pro allows four devices to present simultaneously with presenters able to share Full HD 1080p image quality from a smart device or computer onto a projector or display using a HDMI or VGA connection.
Optoma’s head of product marketing, Justin Halls, explained: “The WPS Pro is primed for instant viewing, which means presenting couldn’t be simpler as no cables are required. It can be used with mobile and computing devices for access to multiple file formats and cloud storage, as well as camera, music and web-browsing. It’s ideal for presenters to share high quality content from a variety of sources up to 100m in any room.”
The device allows users to draw and annotate on the projected image from a mobile device, use laptop mirroring for sharing presentations directly from a computer, and live camera mode, which turns a mobile device into a visualiser to instantly stream live camera footage to a projector or display.
Files can be accessed from Dropbox, Google Drive and other cloud storage services. A built in web browser allows users to surf the internet on a screen that is big enough for sharing content with much larger groups.
