Oblong opens German office

Oblong Industries has continued its European expansion opening a new office and experience centre in Munich, Germany.

Located in the heart of Munich’s Parkstadt Schwabing near IBM, Fujitsu, Microsoft and Accenture, this will be Oblong’s third office in Europe, and 16th location globally.

The new Oblong premises for the German-speaking region is the operational base for new regional sales director, Thomas Spiegl, who will lead the team in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) and will expand and strengthen the sales activities of the company.

Visitors to the event from partner integrator firms, interior architecture, global automotive, and international pharmaceutical companies, were able to take part in a Mezzanine demo and briefing, learn more about the latest additions to the Mezzanine product range and hear from Oblong’s VP in the EMEA region Mary Ann de Lares Norris, and via Mezzanine in Los Angeles, Oblong’s CEO John Underkoffler.

Mary Ann Norris said: “The opening event for our new office in Munich was a great success and we were delighted to welcome over 130 guests to view our new premises and experience Oblong’s Mezzanine technology for themselves. With regional sales director Thomas Spiegl’s expertise, we can tap into the great potential that the region offers and continue to grow the business throughout Europe.”

Thomas Spiegl commented: “With Mezzanine, we provide an immersive and visual technology for collaborating with both geographically dispersed and mobile users. Mezzanine re-defines meetings and delivers ‘Infopresence’ to accelerate decision-making and improve business collaboration. It was a pleasure to welcome guests to our new site and share Oblong’s vision for the future of work with them.”
