NEXO has supplied a weather-resistant sound system to the Lantern Bar, a partly open-air rooftop venue at the five-star Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore, where humidity, heat and rain exposure presented a significant challenge for long-term audio reliability.
Working with local integrator Electro-Acoustics Systems, Yamaha Music Singapore proposed a system built around NEXO’s EN54-rated ePS Outdoor range, with compact ID Series speakers providing infill coverage across the seating zones. The system is designed to deliver consistent audio coverage across the large terrace while maintaining a discreet visual presence in keeping with the venue’s luxury aesthetic.
Joseph Edward, professional audio product sales and marketing at Yamaha Singapore, said: “The system is carefully configured and tuned to provide even distribution of audio, eliminating hotspots and dead zones across the bar while complying with noise control requirements.”
Edward added: “With outdoor-rated components, the system offers long-term reliability despite humidity, heat and rain exposure, and the speakers were integrated with minimal visual impact, preserving the luxurious and sophisticated design of the Lantern Bar.”
The Lantern Bar – named after the historic Chinese name for the nearby Clifford Pier – occupies the 6th floor of the Fullerton Bay Hotel, overlooking Marina Bay and the city skyline, and hosts resident and visiting DJs alongside its food and cocktail offering.
