New Martin consoles to ship by month end

Announced last month at prolight + sound in Frankfurt, Martin has announced that the new M2GO and M2PC compact lighting consoles will ship this month.

Martin has announced that first shipments from the its factory of the M2GO and M2PC, which were announced at Prolight + Sound, will take place on April 30.

Described as compact yet highly capable lighting consoles and ideal lighting control solutions for smaller shows and venues of all types, Martin Professional says that they respond to the demand for a more powerful console in a smaller form.

The M2GO is equipped with a dual-core processor, a 32GB solid state drive, 4GB of RAM, HDMI, VGA, Dual Gigabit Artnet and Maxnet and is a full console with no external computer required. According to Martin, it offers a professional level of features in a portable package and has been developed with cost, ergonomics, feature set, size and weight in mind. The latest generation processor is said to ensure a fast and responsive user interface, even if hundreds of playbacks and effects are activated simultaneously.

The M2PC is the complementary control surface to Martin’s M-PC controller software, attaching to a Windows PC via a USB 2.0 interface. With the same layout and size as the M2GO, the M2PC is described as delivering a professional level of features in a portable package directly from any PC. It features two DMX ports as standard; two more can optionally be configured.

Designed from the ground up with a single philosophy in mind – simplicity – Martin says that the the M2GO and M2PC are extremely easy to learn with an easy-to-navigate surface. Their compact size is said to make them easy to transport, fitting into a standard suitcase.
