New Malaysian stadium selects d&b

Along with colleague Sandhi Soong and two government representatives, Tai visited a number of d&b-equipped stadiums in Germany during preparatory work for the Terengganu project.

Returning to Malaysia, Soong and her team devised a specification revolving around d&b Ci60 and Ci90 installation loudspeakers, sporting a weather-resistant finish. Signal distribution was achieved via what is said to be the longest CAN-Bus network installation in d&b’s history – approximately 250m on the Grandstand side, and 550m to the West stand.

The stadium also features a field PA comprising six arrays of d&b Qi1 installation loudspeakers, again featuring a weather-resistant finish.

“This has been a fantastic project for us,” commented Tai. “The international aspect of co-operation between A.F.S. in Malaysia, d&b’s office in Singapore, and their base in Germany is a fine example of how these things should work. For us it was seamless, just like the audio coverage in the stadium. I’m pleased and our client is very satisfied with the results.”
