The Robes were supplied – along with other lighting kit – via Robe’s Benelux distributor, Controllux. Fixtures include six ColorWash 575E ATs, 18 ColorSpot 575E ATs, eight ColorSpot 250ATs and six ColorWash 250E ATs. Avolites Pearl 2008 and Tiger desks have been provided for control.
The specification of the lighting system was informed by a desire to accommodate visiting bands, meaning that they would not need to bring in their own production systems.
Ian Bintliff, LD for veteran UK rock band Uriah Heep (pictured), is among those to praise the selection of the Robe equipment. “Robe has always been a personal favourite of mine and I’ve used them on at least my last six tours,” he commented. “Once they are set up and you have your positional palette sorted, they are simply rock solid – there’s no drifting apart. They are great lights.”
