The range of features incorporated in Barco’s DP2K series are also present on its new 4K models – alongside a range of additional options. The top-of-the-line DP4K-32B projector (pictured) is said to deliver ‘razor-sharp’ images combined with consistent and accurate colours at 33,000 lumens output and 2000:1 contrast ratio.
As with other DP4K projectors, it benefits from Barco’s high-efficiency optical design, resulting in minimal operating costs and the highest available light output, producing vibrant 3D images on screens up to 32m. The DP4K series models share the same modular platform as the DP2K line, allowing free exchange of spare parts and promising a shorter learning curve. With its patented DMD cooling system, the DP4K series is also said to offer the lowest temperature 4K engine in the world.
Barco has also announced a second new model in the range – the DP4K-23B – suitable for screens up to 23m.
