A.C. Special Projects has provided an audio system featuring equipment from Cloud and Denon to the Da Mario Italian restaurant in Kensington, London.

A long-term staple of the capital’s restaurant culture, Da Mario enlisted A.C. Special Projects to specify, supply and install a multi-zone audio distribution system that enables independent control of the music volume level and multiple sources in each room via a remote panel.

At the heart of the system is a Cloud Z4 multi-zone venue mixer, along with CX-A4 four channel amplifier and volume/input selector control panels to provide simple and convenient control of the four zones. Existing speakers have been utilised in three zones, with more powerful JBL speakers installed in the fourth (basement dining) area to achieve improved sound quality at higher volume levels.

In addition, two iPod input wall plates have been installed upstairs and downstairs to enable convenient background music selection for the different zones, while a Denon Professional twin CD player and professional DJ mixer have been provided for the dancefloor zone.

Marco Molino, owner of Da Mario restaurant, commented: “I’m very pleased with the solution provided by A.C. Special Projects. The audio distribution system has enabled us to perfectly tailor the music source and volume in each room of the restaurant to suit the different times of day and clientele. The system is very easy to use and sounds great! It also delivers a cost-effective solution making use of our existing speakers.”
