Mitsubishi targets classrooms and meeting rooms

The EW230-ST short-throw WXGA projector is the latest release from the manufacturer.

Compatible with widescreen input sources, the EW230U-ST offers 1280 x 800 resolution, providing a display area 1.3 times larger than conventional XGA projectors. The fully integrated design comes complete with a powerful short-throw lens capable of projecting a 60in diagonal image from a distance of only 63cm, making it ideal for small-space presentations and accommodating the shift towards wide-screen computers.

The EW230-ST offers 2,500 lumens output and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. Mitsubishi’s BrilliantColor technology is said to enhance the vibrancy of the display, while Wall Screen functionality allows users to select a specific colour surface, which automatically changes the projector’s output settings in accordance with the chosen background.

Network ready, the EW230U-ST also benefits from a built-in LAN (RJ-45) terminal for remote operation and, when integrated with Crestron RoomView, up to 250 projectors can be operated simultaneously, with power on/off control and message display functionality.

Weighing only 2.8kg, the EW230U-ST also features a direct power-off function allowing it to be powered down instantly without causing damage.
