The new 1080p Diamond Series Home Cinema Series models are the HC6800 (pictured) and HC3800 Full HD projectors. Previewed at CEDIA US Expo and IFA earlier this year, the projectors are said to confirm Mitsubishi’s “commitment to the home cinema market”.
A premium 3-LCD full HD option, the HC6800 offers a specification including a high contrast ratio of 30,000:1, brightness of 1,500 ANSI lumens, Silicon Optix Reon-VXIV video processing and a Blu-ray 24-P direct output.
Described as “an affordable entry into the world of full HD home cinema”, the HC3800 produces 1,300 lumens of brightness, a contrast ratio of 3,300:1, the latest 0.65 DLP chip, a DDP3021 full 10-bit panel driver and BrilliantColour.
Both models have been designed to be quick and easy to set-up and operate, and feature a low fan noise (20dBA (HC6800) and 25dBA (HC3800)) for undisrupted viewing.
Mitsubishi Electric Display Solutions’ UK sales manager, Fraser McDonald, told IE Residential: “At Mitsubishi we are continually investing in R&D [and] looking at ways to enhance our products to meet the needs of existing and new customers. With the introduction of the HC3800 and HC6800 Full HD home cinema projectors we strongly believe that we have developed a truly sophisticated range that meets the needs and expectations of home entertainment enthusiasts.”
