The 3D screen (centre of picture) is just part of the projection surface – the rest of the interior of the dome receives a 2D projection, edgeblended from five Christie projectors.
Two Christie CP-2000ZX projectors, fitted with linear polarising filters, provide the main 3D image at 1920×1080.
Strobe lights, moving heads and five Christie DS+10K-M projectors all add to the visual experience on the dome surface and in the periphery of the audience’s vision.
The seven Meyer Sound Acheron cinema loudspeakers are mostly hidden within the dome, but this one can just be seen peeking out below the dome’s equator.
Wind machines around the perimeter of the dome add to the 4D experience.
Leg ticklers under the seats do their work when compressed air is passed through them.
Audio is under the control of a Meyer Sound Galileo loudspeaker management system.
