Martin Audio system backs Australian Pink Floyd Show tour

WPC loudspeaker models deployed for tribute act's European, US and UK tour dates in 2026

Martin Audio’s WPC loudspeaker system is underpinning The Australian Pink Floyd Show’s 2026 global tour, supplied by technical partner 22live.

The touring system features 16-deep WPC main hangs complemented by 10-deep WPS out-hangs for larger venues. Low-end is handled by a combination of three SX218 and 16 cardioid SXCF118 subs, a configuration refined by system engineer Mark Edwards following A/B testing at Martin Audio’s headquarters. The system also carries TORUS T820s as lip fills, TORUS T1215/30s for in-fills and a pair of FlexPoint FP12s as utility speakers, with the full rig powered by IKON iK42 amplifiers over a Dante network.

Paul Timmins, hire director at 22live, said: “The warmth and vocal tonality of Martin Audio lends itself perfectly to the Pink Floyd catalogue. I’m consistently impressed by how seamless the transition is between the WPC and WPS hangs. For a rental company, that consistency and the ability to deploy the most compact boxes is exactly what you want.”

22live has worked with the band since 2022, when it overhauled the touring rig with the WPC system.

Timmins noted a practical logistical benefit of the setup: “When we ran the truck packs, we discovered the Martin WPC system with 22live packaging actually saved three feet of truck space – a massive commercial advantage.”

The partnership recently marked the completion of ten full tours and more than 365 shows together. FOH engineer Trevor Gilligan, who has mixed the show for over a decade, reported after a recent Berlin date that the system “sounded like a hi-fi in the back row”.
