Martin Audio powers Indian graduation ceremony

A TORUS constant curvature array and Blackline subwoofers delivered speech reinforcement for 2,000-seat graduation ceremony at Malwanchal University in Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Martin Audio loudspeakers were deployed for the 5th Convocation Ceremony at Malwanchal University in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where a TORUS constant curvature array system provided speech reinforcement for the institution’s flagship graduation event.

Held in the university’s 2,000-seat Central Auditorium, the system comprised two flown arrays, each featuring four TORUS T1215 elements, alongside Blackline X218 subwoofers. The installation was intended to provide even coverage and speech intelligibility for an audience of students, faculty, dignitaries and guests.

The TORUS constant curvature arrays are designed to bridge the gap between line array and point-source loudspeaker technologies, while the Blackline X218 subwoofers provided low-frequency reinforcement for the event.

Amit Patel, director at Patel DJ Sound, said: “TORUS has proven to be a strong asset for us in Indore. Its compact build makes it adaptable, while output and clarity allow it to perform beyond expectations.”

Raj Mane, engineer at Patel DJ Sound, added: “Working with Martin Audio allows us to deliver a polished sound experience that clients can trust.”

Malwanchal University is part of the Index Group of Institutions, one of central India’s largest medical education groups, with a 65-acre campus serving more than 11,000 students.
