Magenta Research extends Voyager and MultiView ranges

Magenta Research is presenting the new additions to both ranges at the show. Among the latest members in the Voyages range are a four-port fibre core module and a 640-port Voyager matrix switch.

At InfoComm this year, signal extension manufacturer Magenta is introducing new additions to its Voyager and MultiView lines for fibre and UTP-based signal switching and distribution applications. New Voyager products include a four-port fibre core module that can be used as part of a transmitter or receiver, as well as being used as a small DA or switch; a 640-port Voyager matrix switch that uses the Company’s Flex I/O architecture allowing each port configurable as an input or output; Voyager’s CF-18 rackmountable chassis that holds and powers 18 CF transmitter units; and the Voyager CF Series of compact transmitters and receivers. The company’s MultiView II has been upgraded with DVI transmitters and receivers to transmit DVO to 350m over UTP – this also enables format conversions between DVI and VGA, whilst maintaining compatibility and allowing upgrades to existing MultiView Installations. Further additions include external LED buttons on MultiView II analogue transmitters and receivers, EDID and DDC support for all transmitters, and improved synchronisation control.
