The new hotel features 31 Soundweb London BLU-80 units, 10 BLU-32 and six BLU-16s, all of which offer configurable I/O and signal processing, CobraNet audio, and open architecture which is fully configurable through HiQnet London Architect. The system – which was specified by acoustic consulting firm Shen Milsom & Wilke – also includes 17 BLU-10s, 12 BLU-3s and seven BLU-6s.
“The system needed to be easy to operate with a common operating environment in terms of control in local zones and areas,” commented Stacey Lewis, sales and marketing manager for UAE Harman distributor GSL Professional. “Additionally, they needed a central system control with monitoring, scalability and flexibility to accommodate potential future expansion plans or requirements.”
More than 50 Crown amplifiers – a mixture of CT 8200s, CTs 4200s and CTs 600s – have also been installed. The amplifiers are networked and monitored on the same system as the Soundweb DSP.
